Will V12 run on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard?

 I have an urgent need to upgrade a V9 server to V12 that is running on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard.  No time to upgrade the OS or hardware at the moment.  I know it's not supported, but will it work?  What might be the risks?  (just runs email.  No apps)

Im running V12 on my demo domino server on Windows Server 2012. It works fine. I have also tested the same for V14. That too works fine. It includes the notes client standard apps as well as xpages apps. No issues at all regarding functionality.
